On July 18, media representatives visited Xi'an International Port Station as part of a media tour for the 2026 World Internet Conference Digital Silk Road Development Forum, which will be held July 21-22 in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

During the visit, they learned about the operations of the China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) and explored how digital technologies are being applied to modernize cross-border logistics.

Connecting Xi'an with destinations across Europe and Central Asia, the China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) serves as a vital logistics corridor. Notably, 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of the express operating under a unified brand. Since the beginning of this year, the Xi'an service has operated more than 3,000 train trips, maintaining its national lead in both train frequency and freight volume for the eighth consecutive year.

At the port station, digital platforms, automated equipment and intelligent management systems are deployed to streamline terminal operations and cross-border logistics services. These technologies are significantly boosting freight efficiency while facilitating deeper trade and economic exchanges across Eurasia.
