
The World Internet Conference Specialized Committee on Artificial Intelligence (WIC SC on AI) hosted a forum under the theme "Advancing Responsible AI: Open Source for Inclusive Development and Collaborative Governance" on July 8 in Geneva, Switzerland, during the AI for Good Global Summit.
Co-organized by the Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance, the event brought together experts from international organizations, academia and industry to exchange views on responsible AI development.
The forum featured two thematic discussions focusing on open source for inclusive development and collaborative governance and rule coordination, where participants shared insights on AI standards, open-source innovation, AI safety, governance frameworks and international cooperation.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
