The 2026 World Internet Conference (WIC) Member Representatives Symposium was held in Beijing on June 26.

As part of the WIC's regular engagement mechanism with its members, the symposium aimed to strengthen communication, gather feedback and suggestions and foster closer collaboration for the organization's future development.

At the event, WIC representatives reviewed the achievements made by the international organization over the past four years since its establishment and expressed appreciation for the continued support of its members. 

They also outlined the WIC's key initiatives for the second half of 2026, inviting member organizations to engage more actively in its programs, share industry expertise, and leverage their resources, so as to contribute to building a community with a shared future in cyberspace.

Representatives from SINA, Penghua Fund, MiniMax, the Renmin University of China and IBM shared their views and offered suggestions on the development of the WIC organization. 

The WIC's outstanding member liaisons of 2025 were also recognized at the event for their dedicated service and their important role in strengthening communication between the organization and its members.

Participants noted that they had gained a strong sense of engagement and accomplishment by taking part in various activities organized by the WIC. They expressed their commitment to further deepening cooperation with the organization, actively participating in its future initiatives and contributing to its high-quality development.

More than 100 representatives from nearly 90 member organizations of the WIC attended the symposium.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
