Cross-border e-commerce is reshaping global trade. Against this backdrop, the 2026 World Internet Conference (WIC) Collection of Cross-border E-commerce Practice Cases is now open for submissions! Government agencies and businesses worldwide are invited to share innovative practices in regulation, service innovation, compliance and sustainability, and international cooperation in the sector. 

Following successful runs in 2024 and 2025, we're back! This year, we sincerely welcome submissions from: tech pioneers driving e-commerce with AI and blockchain; cross-border practitioners deeply engaged in localized global operations; compliance champions committed to high standards in taxation, data governance, and ESG practices; and innovators empowering small businesses to go global.

All applicants should endorse the WIC’s mission, and meet the basic requirements of the selected category. In addition, submitted cases must have been implemented or deployed after 2023.

Step by step submission process

1. Platform registration and login

Visit the World Internet Conference Submission and Review Platform: 

https://awards.wicinternet.org/en 

First-time users must register for an account. Existing users can log in directly.

2. Select the submission category

After logging in, navigate to the “2026 Collection of Cross-Border E-Commerce Practice Cases” section.

3. Read and acknowledge submission guidelines

Carefully read and confirm the guidelines.

4. Complete submission information accurately

Accurately complete all basic information. Provide detailed information as required in the application form. Upload supporting materials in the specified formats (text, images, videos are accepted).Complete all additional information fields as required.

5. Save drafts & final submission

You may save your progress at any time during the editing process. Once submitted, the status will change to “Under Review.”

Submission Guidelines

1. Ensure alignment with relevant categories

Applicants may choose one or more of the specified areas. Only one case may be submitted under each selected area.

2. Submitted content must be clear and detailed

Submissions should be well-structured, logically organized, content-rich, and clearly written. All content must be truthful and accurate. If other organizations were involved in the case implementation, their details must also be fully disclosed.

3. Supporting material requirements

Upload moderately sized files to ensure smooth access for reviewers. Each uploaded file should be clearly labeled with relevant information, such as file type and time period.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
