Advancing internet of agents through IPv6 connectivity
At the Forum on Innovation and Application of AI Agent during the 2026 World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit, Latif Ladid, founder and president of the IPv6 Forum, highlighted the need to move from standalone AI systems to networked agents.
Ladid described the internet of agents as the next “killer application” after the mobile internet, with the potential to reshape digital services.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
