The global healthcare industry is undergoing a profound transformation driven by artificial intelligence, big data, medical robotics, and other digital technologies. These technologies are not only reshaping healthcare delivery but also bridging regional disparities, expanding access to essential healthcare services, and promoting sustainable, high-quality development across the sector.

As part of the 2026 World Internet Conference (WIC) Asia-Pacific Summit, the Digital and Intelligent Health Forum—hosted by the WIC—will be held on April 14 in Hong Kong. Under the theme “Digital-Intelligent Integration · Inclusive Health—Towards a People-Centered Smart Health Future,” the forum will bring together representatives from government agencies, international organizations, leading research institutions, top-tier hospitals, technology and healthcare companies, and investment institutions from across the Asia-Pacific region. Participants will exchange views on emerging trends, explore avenues for cooperation, and outline a shared vision for the future of digital health.

Focusing on key industry priorities, the forum will highlight the development of an open and collaborative digital health ecosystem. Discussions will cover the integration of research, industry and clinical practice, data security and cross-border flow, co-development of technical standards, and commercialization of innovations.

Participants will also explore how digital and intelligent solutions can improve healthcare accessibility, fairness and inclusiveness while fostering a sustainable smart health system, with particular emphasis on real-world application of digital technologies in smart diagnostics, precision medicine, primary healthcare improvement and public health enhancement.

The WIC is in the process of establishing a working group on digital and intelligent health. This forum will serve as a platform to build consensus, engage stakeholders and advance the launch of the working group, facilitating the creation of an institutionalized platform for collaboration in digital and intelligent health across the Asia-Pacific region.

The event will feature keynote speeches, high-level dialogues, and case studies delivered by government officials, academicians, and industry leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region. They will showcase cutting-edge technologies and best practices, creating a high-level platform for international exchanges and cooperation in the digital healthcare industry.

The 2026 WIC Asia-Pacific Summit will take place from April 13 to 14 in Hong Kong.
