Fernanda Chima is an Erasmus Mundus Scholar and a World Trade Organization intern, with over seven years of experience in international cooperation and innovative technologies research. She has also served as an advisor for UNESCO Peace Center and Huawei. During her work at the WTO, Fernanda was responsible for reviewing digital services and foreign investment policies and contributed to the 2025 World Trade Report “Making trade and AI work together to the benefit of all.” She further engineered an AI pipeline for the Services and Investment Division, which reduced external legal advisory workload by 75%, and delivered training to for the Secretariat about the use of AI.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
