
The year 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the concept of building a community with a shared future in cyberspace. Since its inception, this concept has consistently emphasized the close connection between global internet governance and the human community of shared future. It reflects a strong focus on the well-being of all humanity and the widespread expectations of the international community for cooperation and trust in cyberspace.
A seminar will be held during the 2025 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit to commemorate the 10th anniversary of this initiative. This seminar will summarize the great achievements and vivid practices in the past decade, reflect on the past, look toward the future, and further promote the implementation of this concept.
The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
