As an emerging business model within foreign trade, cross-border e-commerce (CBEC) has become a pivotal driver of global trade development, characterized by its rapid growth, great potential, and strong impetus. In order to disseminate successful experiences and best practices that can assist micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) worldwide in better leveraging CBEC to expand international markets, the World Internet Conference (WIC) launched a call for practice cases in June 2025. This initiative collected more than 80 submissions of outstanding cases from government agencies, colleges and universities, research institutions, international organizations, industry associations, and enterprises in industrial chains. These cases encompass seven dimensions, including digital platforms, trading enterprises, logistics and distribution, comprehensive services, integrated innovation, international cooperation, and government guidance. Through deliberation, classification, and synthesis, the World Internet Conference Collection of Cross-border E-commerce Practices (2025) was compiled, scheduled for publication at the WIC International International Cross-Border E-Commerce Symposium in Shenzhen in September 2025. It is anticipated that this publication will facilitate industry dialogue and mutual understanding, promote inclusive development within the CBEC sector, and serve as a valuable resource for sharing the achievements of CBEC development in the digital era.
