Cultural heritage is a treasure of human civilization and precious wealth left to us by history. Digital tools are opening pathways for more sustainable heritage practices and deeper public participation.
On Sept 16–17, 2025, alongside the 2025 WIC Cultural Heritage Digitalization Forum, the WIC Digital Academy will host the Cultural Heritage Digital Preservation Training Program in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province. This program is designed to raise awareness of cultural heritage protection and explore practical digital applications in preserving humanitys most treasured legacies.

The World Internet Conference Digital Academy (WICDA) was officially launched in November 2024 to focus on key areas of digital development. The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
