The World Internet Conference (WIC) held a press conference in Beijing on Aug 26 to brief the media on the upcoming 2025 WIC Cultural Heritage Digitalization Forum, which is set to take place from Sept 16 to 17 in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
One of the forum's highlights will be an exhibition showcasing outstanding cultural heritage digitalization projects. Focusing on digital protection, inheritance, and innovation, the exhibition will display how cutting-edge technologies are applied to safeguard ancient books, cultural relics, architectural sites, and intangible cultural heritage.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
