Francis Gurry: Finding balance between AI generation and human creation key
"In some respects, the overall policy question is the extent to which we favor machine creation and innovation over human creation and innovation," Francis Gurry, vice-chair of World Internet Conference and former director-general of the World Intellectual Property Organization, said at the 2025 World Internet Conference Digital Silk Road Development meeting. The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
