1. What is the date and detailed schedule of the Digital Silk Road Development Forum?

2025 WIC Digital Silk Road Development Forum (Quanzhou, China) is scheduled to take place on July 24. The opening ceremony will be held in the morning. The main forum will be held in the afternoon. 

AI Development and Governance Symposium (by invitation) will be held on the afternoon of July 23. 

On July 23 and 24, Advanced Training on Digital Economy Innovation and Development (by invitation) will be held in the afternoon, and Traditional Chinese Culture Show will be held in the evening.

2. What is the official language of the forum?

Chinese and English.

3. Are interpretation services provided during the forum?

All events will be simultaneously interpreted into Chinese and English.

II. How to Participate?

4. How can guests and invited audiences attend the forum?

Guests can participate in the opening ceremony, the main forum and other open-invitation activities. Invited audiences can participate in the main forum and other open-invitation activities.

5. What is the registration process for guests?

Step 1 – A guest will receive an invitation code;

Step 2 - After receiving the invitation code, the guest can fill in detailed personal attendance information in the registration system on their own.

6. How will the biographical information collected in the registration system be used?

The guests' biographical information will be used to facilitate the organizer in arranging reception services. Please fill in as much detail as possible.

Ⅲ. Conference Badges

7. How many types of conference badges are there for the forum? 

There are two types of badges: GUEST badge and INVITED AUDIENCE badge.

8. Is the conference badge required when entering the venue?

Throughout the forum, all participants are required to wear their conference badges whenever entering and exiting the venues. Please keep your badge safe and secure at all time.

9. How to obtain the conference badge?

Guest badges can be collected at the registration counter of the guest's hotel.

Invited audience badges can be collected at the registration counter of the Quanzhou Haisi Boya International Hotel. 

Ⅳ. Transportation Arrangement

10. Where will the forum be held?

The forum will be held at Quanzhou Grand Theatre in Quanzhou city, Fujian province, China.

11. What is the most convenient way to get to Quanzhou city?

For flights, we suggest that you choose Quanzhou Jinjiang International Airport. 

For trains, we suggest that you choose among Quanzhou, Quanzhoudong and Quanzhounan railway stations. 

The drive from Jinjiang International Airport, Quanzhou Railway Station and Quanzhoudong Railway Station to Quanzhou city proper usually takes about 30 minutes.

The drive from Quanzhounan Railway Station to Quanzhou city proper usually takes about 50 minutes.

12. Are there shuttle services available?

The organizer will provide shuttle services for participants from and to the above-mentioned railway stations and airport. For those who plan to take international flights to Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, please contact forum staff in advance to arrange shuttle services.

13. What are the business hours of shuttle services? 

Pick up from airports/railway stations: 06:00 on July 23 to 24:00 on July 24.

Pick up from the venue/hotels: 12:00 on July 24 to 24:00 on July 25.

14. Can I drive to the avenue or hotels on my own? 

The main venue and some accommodation hotels are subject to traffic restrictions. Vehicles without permits are not allowed. At other accommodation hotels, parking spaces are limited and will be provided on a first-come-first-served basis.

15. Is it necessary for guests to arrange their own accommodation?

The organizer will provide accommodation for the guests. 

16. How do guests confirm their accommodation information?

Before your departure or upon arrival at the relevant transportation hubs in Quanzhou, our staff will confirm the accommodation details with you.

17. Is it necessary for invited audiences to arrange their own accommodation?

Invited audiences need to arrange their own accommodation and can book any hotel to their own needs.

Guests will receive free meal coupons at the hotel registration counter.

Invited audiences need to make their own dining arrangements.

Ⅵ. Visa Related

20. Is a Chinese visa required for attending the forum?

You need to apply for a Chinese F visa (for personnel engaged in exchange, visit, study tour and non-commercial activities) to attend the forum, except for those holding diplomatic passports or from visa free countries. Specific information can be found at: cs.mfa.gov.cn. 

Ⅶ. Other Issues

21. How to seek medical assistance during the forum?

The forum provide on-site medical services and there are also medical institutions around the venue for emergency support. If you need medical treatment, please contact the staff and we will assist you in a timely manner.

22. Are there opportunities for further follow-up communication and cooperation after the forum?

The WIC is willing to engage in in-depth exchanges and cooperation with all parties of the global Internet community. In addition to the Forum, the WIC is also organizing events such as Wuzhen Summit and Asia-Pacific Summit. Additionally, it features key brand initiatives such as the Award Ceremony of WIC Distinguished Contribution Award, Awards for Pioneering Science and Technology, the Release & Presentation of Outstanding Cases of Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace, the Global Youth Leadership Program, Think Tank Cooperation Program, and Digital Academy, along with specialized committees and working groups in specific fields.
