Intelligent Silk Road Toward a Digital Future -- AI-Driven Digital Silk Road Enters a New Era of Development
Written by the China Mobile Research Institute (China Mobile Think Tank), this report elaborates the important value of AI technologies to the Digital Silk Road from three aspects: promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, facilitating the development of emerging industries, and contributing to the upgrading of people's livelihood services. It also analyzes the results achieved by Belt and Road countries in building four basic AI capabilities, such as computing infrastructure, network infrastructure, model technologies and datasets, and the challenges they face. Finally, the report presents a path for Belt and Road countries to actively explore future-oriented coordinated development in the AI sector from the perspectives of technology R&D cooperation, infrastructure construction, and harmonization of policies and standards.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
