The 2026 World Internet Conference (WIC) Asia-Pacific Summit, hosted by the WIC and organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, will take place in Hong Kong from April 13 to 14, 2026.
The summit will convene senior representatives from international organizations, government agencies, leading enterprises, and industry associations, as well as renowned experts and scholars from around the world, discussing frontier topics on global internet development and fostering cross-regional, cross-sectoral, and cross-cultural dialogues.
The WIC will work with global partners to build it into a leading platform for global digital cooperation.
The inaugural WIC Asia-Pacific Summit, held in Hong Kong in April 2025, drew nearly 1,000 participants from over 50 countries and regions. Discussions under the theme “Integration of AI and Digital Technologies Shaping the Future – Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace” covered topics such as AI governance, cross-border data flows, digital finance inclusion, smart cities, large model applications and smart life.

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
