In an era of rapid technological advancement and deepening digital integration, the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) and the World Internet Conference (WIC) Digital Academy will jointly host a training program on artificial intelligence (AI) capacity building in Shanghai on June 17. The program will serve as a pre-event to the 2025 Mobile World Congress Shanghai.

It will bring together AI experts from both the GSMA and WIC Digital Academy for in-depth discussions on key topics such as AI governance principles, policy frameworks, and best practices. The initiative aims to deliver forward-looking insights and policy interpretations to support the responsible development of AI.

Participants will include policymakers and regulatory officials from countries such as Azerbaijan, Thailand, Singapore, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Tanzania and the United Kingdom.

As a founding member of the WIC, the GSMA has been actively deepening its global capacity-building cooperation with the WIC Digital Academy, working together to build a community with a shared future in cyberspace.
