The 2025 World Internet Conference Digital Silk Road Development Forum will be held in Quanzhou, East China’s Fujian province, on July 24. 

Under the theme “Embracing the Digital and Intelligent Maritime Silk Road – Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace,” the forum will host representatives from government departments, international organizations, enterprises, civil societies and academia. Participants will discuss topics ranging from “Open Cooperation on Digital Trade under the Belt and Road Initiative” and “AI-Driven High-Quality Development of the Private Economy” to “Digital-Intelligent Transformation and Sustainable Development of International Transport.”

Forum organizers aim to pool wisdom, advance practical cooperation, and jointly explore new opportunities for Digital Silk Road development.

Supplementary events including the Member Representative Symposium and Advanced Training on Digital Economy Innovation and Development will further enrich the agenda. The WIC Think Tank Cooperation Program will also release a series of reports during the forum. 

This event is hosted by the World Internet Conference (WIC) and co-organized by Fujian Provincial Government, with support from Quanzhou Municipal Government, Cyberspace Administration of Fujian and Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission. 

The World Internet Conference (WIC) was established as an international organization on July 12, 2022, headquartered in Beijing, China. It was jointly initiated by Global System for Mobile Communication Association (GSMA), National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT), China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), Alibaba Group, Tencent, and Zhijiang Lab.
