Cross-border e-commerce has flourished, becoming a vital engine for international trade and global economic growth in recent years. It has contributed significantly to the creation of an open, inclusive, and mutually beneficial global marketplace. As an emerging international organization in the digital field, the World Internet Conference (WIC) established the Cross-Border E-Commerce Working Group in June 2023 and released the WIC Collection of Cross-Border E-Commerce Practice Cases (2024) at the Digital Silk Road Development Forum in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, in 2024.
To further promote the development of cross-border e-commerce, the WIC is inviting government agencies, enterprises, and other stakeholders worldwide to submit practice cases involving government coordination, digital platforms, trade enterprises, logistics and distribution, comprehensive services, convergence and innovation, and international cooperation in this sector. This initiative aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, showcase best practices, and support innovation and global expansion in cross-border e-commerce.
We sincerely invite all interested parties to actively participate in this initiative by sharing your practical explorations and actions in cross-border e-commerce based on your business expertise, technological strengths and experience. Through the Cross-Border E-commerce Working Group, we aim to pool global resources, build consensus on development, promote best practices, and advance international cooperation and work together to achieve sustainable and high-quality growth in the sector.
