Introduction of WIC Awards and Practice Cases

The WIC Awards for Pioneering Science and Technology is an international scientific and technological award aimed at the Internet field. It is an upgrade from WIC's Release Ceremony for World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements, which had been held for seven consecutive years. The purpose is to reward the most pioneering Internet technology achievements globally each year and advocate for international cooperation in Internet technology. Projects are divided into three types: basic research, key technologies, and engineering research and development. Approximately 15 to 20 groundbreaking, highly innovative, and widely applicable winning projects selected by authoritative experts from the global industry are honored in the award ceremony during the Wuzhen Summit annually. Around 60 shortlisted projects are compiled into the "Charm of Science and Technology" collection.

The Release & Presentation of Outstanding Cases of Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace has been held continuously for three years since 2021. It vividly showcases pragmatic cooperation and development achievements in cyberspace from various parties worldwide, effectively interpreting the rich connotations and goal paths of the concept proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Wuzhen Summit to build a community with a shared future in cyberspace. Each year, approximately 12 outstanding cases with high conceptual fit, significant international influence, strong inclusiveness, and rich content are selected by authoritative global experts for presentation during the Wuzhen Summit. Around 60 typical cases are compiled into a Case Collection.
